Hi Michael,
I am looking to host a blitz chess tournament. It will be private, high-stakes, and invite only, and the world’s most expensive tournament. The tournament will be limited to 20 players, double round robin, with the top 8 going for another double round robin. The top 8 will finish with a prize. This will be a one day event held in Seattle in September. The entry fee is $6,000,000 with $50,000 going towards the administration costs and the remaining for the player prize pool of $119,000,000. First place is $30,000,000, second place is $22,000,000, third place is $16,000,000, fourth and fifth places are $12,000,000, and sixth, seventh, and eighth places are $9,000,0000. We recommend you find investors that can cover your entry fee. Let me know if you are interested and I can list you as a potential player and once I have everything set up, I will send a formal invitation.
Thanks,
Zach Johnson
Dear Michael,
Congratulations on your current success at the British Championships. I saw a great photo of you as boy with NIgel Short and another person in the Oxford Companion to Chess . Would you consider posting it?
All the best,
Richard Jones
